ingredients:
- 300 g of green papaya
- 250 g of salted fish
- 2 yellow onions
- 1 long green chilli
- The juice of one lemon
Preparation:
Boil a pot of water. Put the salted fish in hot water and let it cook for 5 minutes to remove some salt. Discard the water, cut the salted fish into pieces and set aside.
Peel the green papaya, grate it and keep aside then peel the onions and slice them thinly. Reserve. Next, cut the chilli into small pieces and reserve.
Heat a pan with 2 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil is hot, fry the pieces of the salted fish for 5 minutes. Add the onions and chillies and cook for 5 more minutes.
Then add the grated green papaya and let simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.
Add the lemon juice and cook on high heat for 5 minutes it’s ready.
Serve your Salted Fish Sauté with Green Papaya hot with rice and lentils.
