- 4 green bananas
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon of water
- salt
- frying oil
Preparation:
To start heat your oil bath for frying over medium heat. Then cut the 2 ends of the bananas. Slit the bananas skin all along and from all sides without slashing the flesh of the bananas. Peel bananas, cut in slices neither too thin nor too thick and reserve.
In a bowl mix together turmeric and water and mix with banana slices. Once the oil is warm, put the banana slices in the oil one by one and fry until they are golden and crisp.
Remove from the oil and let drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt when it is still hot, mix gently so that the salt hangs on the banana chips. Continue to fry the remaining bananas.
Allow to cool completely before eating.
